About Garth Sundem:
Garth Sundem is the bestselling author of books including Beyond IQ (Three Rivers, 2014), Brain Trust (Three Rivers, 2012), Brain Candy (Three Rivers, 2010), Real Kids, Real Stories, Real Change (Free Spirit Publishing, 2010), The Geeks’ Guide to World Domination (Three Rivers, 2008), and Geek Logik (Workman, 2006). Garth has also written for periodicals including Fast Company, Men’s Health, Esquire, WIRED, Scientific American, Maxim, the New York Times, Congressional Quarterly and Publisher’s Weekly (among many others) and has been featured on NPR, PRI, CBC, Good Morning America, Fox & Friends, CBS Early Show, and many state and local radio and TV affiliates. Past speaking engagements include keynotes for TED-ED, Gartner Business Intelligence, Netezza Data Solutions and the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. Garth grew up on Bainbridge Island, a short ferry ride from Seattle, where his dad – a former President of the American Accounting Association – taught for 37 years in the University of Washington Business School. Garth graduated Magna Cum Laude from Cornell University with a pre-med/music degree. He lives in Boulder, CO with his wife, two kids and two Labradors.
