About this Event

Create33 and the Center for American Entrepreneurship co-host this conversation with acclaimed investor Brad Feld and entrepreneurial expert Ian Hathaway, co-authors of “The Startup Community Way.” Moderated by Create33 Executive Director and Center for American Entrepreneurship Chair Rebecca Lovell, this interactive session is designed for anyone interested in supporting entrepreneurship, exploring startup communities as connected systems, and ensuring innovators have equitable access to resources in good times and bad.

About the book:

"No one tells this story better than acclaimed author and investor Brad Feld and Ian Hathaway, an entrepreneurship expert and startup advisor. The Startup Community Way: Evolving an Entrepreneurial Ecosystem--the much-anticipated sequel to Feld's bestselling book Startup Communities: Building an Entrepreneurial Ecosystem in Your City--explores what makes startup communities thrive and how to improve collaboration in rapidly-changing environments.

Whether in boom times or amidst the global crises we navigate today, we ask what will happen to our startup communities, and how will we ensure that entrepreneurial success is still within reach for everyone? This book provides a framework for answering these questions, looking at startup communities as complex systems that—given the right resources and support—can help entrepreneurs succeed and benefit society as a whole.

If you have been involved in any way in building a startup community or entrepreneurial ecosystem in your city, The Startup Community Way is key to helping you understand the next phase of your journey."
