Welcome from the conference coordinators

Scholars have noted that in an increasingly digital business environment, the effective use of creative minds, and the innovative application of multifaceted strategies are the keys to the success of entrepreneurial ventures. Further, social entrepreneurship has been instrumental in reshaping social norms and improving the well-being of all. In particular, the increased involvement of women in entrepreneurship and family-owned businesses has helped shape the business landscape. We expect to see these issues discussed extensively at the International Conference on Entrepreneurship and Family Business (ICEFB).

Entrepreneurial and family-owned enterprises are gaining prominence in academic and business circles. Scholars have also noted that small and medium-sized business (SMEs) form the engine that drives national growth and prosperity. Many of these SMEs are family-owned. ICEFB offers a convenient platform to kindle engagement and productive discourse on these important issues.

The renaissance of entrepreneurial and family business enterprises in India, makes it an ideal location for our conference. Successful Indian entrepreneurs and family business owners lead fast-growing enterprises, many of which have gone public on to the world stage. We will offer workshops that are both academic- and practitioner-friendly to address key entrepreneurship and family-business issues in the Indian context.

Please explore the conference website, peruse the academic tracks and workshop offerings, and review the submission guidelines. Most importantly, plan on submitting your manuscript(s) and workshop proposals to ICEFB! Manuscripts accepted for presentation at the conference will be considered for inclusion in the inaugural issue of the Journal of New Business Ventures (a Sage Publication) that is scheduled to be published in June, 2020.

We invite you to join the intellectual party at the 2nd International Conference on Entrepreneurship & Family Business (ICEFB) that will be held at the IIT-Bombay campus, in Mumbai, India, January 9-11, 2020!
