The university’s largest donation, gifted by G. Brint and Amanda Ryan in 2019, has already begun to make a transformational difference for the college.

The $30 million investment was intended to create at least six endowed chairs and provide funding for academic program initiatives over the next seven years. Just one year later, their support is already changing the trajectory of the college’s future by facilitating the hiring of three renowned faculty.

Dr. Stuart Gillan, Ryan Endowed Chair in Finance, Dr. Casey M. Schwab, Ryan Endowed Chair in Accounting, and Dr. Jeremy Short, Ryan Endowed Chair in Entrepreneurship are now among the list of quality faculty joining the college’s ranks.

“I am excited to join the G. Brint Ryan College of Business and very much appreciate the Ryan family’s generosity in supporting my professorship. I look forward to working with my colleagues, and the broader UNT community, to build on the momentum that the Ryan’s gift has brought to the college,” said Gillan.

The extensive list of honors and publications that these three individuals bring with them to UNT will inspire students to achieve at the highest level and further expand college rankings.
