John Reed is the managing partner of Azalea Ventures LLC. Mr. Reed co-founded Tech Wildcatters, a top-10 ranked seed stage venture fund which financed development of over 100 technology startups in its first seven funds. Tech Wildcatters companies currently employ over 750, and have raised over $100M in follow-on financing. Mr. Reed managed the acquisition, turnaround and sale of John Rigby & Co., a 275 year-old British brand; the structure, financing and management of Pathfinder Ranches, a 600,000 acre wind farm, energy storage, and Sage Grouse conservation development; and manages Azalea Fund I, LP, which financed development of Oklahoma's 200MW Goodwell and New Mexico's 522MW Sagamore wind farms. He previously co-founded and managed several venture-backed technology companies through public offerings and strategic exits. Mr. Reed began his career at the Trammell Crow Company in Dallas, holds an MBA from SMU and a BBA from UT Austin, and is a member of Dallas YPO Gold.
