Mr. Jerry W. Pinkerton retired as the Controller of TXU Corporation in December 2000. He was the Controller of TXU (formerly Texas Utilities Company) and subsidiaries from August 1997 when TXU merged with ENSERCH Corporation. Mr. Pinkerton graduated in 1962 with a bachelor of business administration degree in accounting from the University of North Texas and is a Certified Public Accountant. His wife, Judy, also graduated from UNT in 1962. He was honored as Outstanding Alumnus for Excellence in Accounting at UNT in 1999, as a member of the UNT College of Business Administration Hall of Honor in 2000 and received the distinguished alumnus award from UNT in 2005. Mr. Pinkerton is a member of the UNT President’s Council and is a member and former chairperson of the UNT College of Business Advisory Board. He previously served as a member and chairperson of the UNT Accounting Advisory Board for several terms. He has served on the board of UNT’s Professional Leadership Program and has been a PLP mentor. Mr. Pinkerton has served as a board member of the UNT Foundation.
