Brandon is a Ph.D. Candidate in Management (proposal date July 2021) with a focus in organizational behavior and human resource management. He holds an M.B.A with a concentration in human resource management from the University of Houston - Clear Lake and a B.A in Finance from A&M - Commerce. His research interests focus on emotions in the workplace, career resilience and sustainability, groups and teams, and coping strategies for stress and burnout. When teaching, Brandon aims to facilitate classroom engagement by capturing the interest and inspiration of his students through the utilization of current events and by highlighting the practical applications of any course he is instructing. His teaching philosophy is centered around creating an engaging and supportive classroom environment that promotes motivation and equal opportunity for success.
Apart from his scholarly involvements, he strives to be an active volunteer in his community (both local and academic) having volunteered many hours at a local animal shelter, organizing a Relay for Life team, and leading a Texas Adopt-a-Highway volunteer team. He has also volunteered his time at academic conferences such as the Academy of Management conference and the Annual Southern Management Association conference, and regularly serves as a reviewer for AOM, SMA, and SWAM annual conferences.
