A graduate of Trinity University, Blair Smith began her professional career as the manager of research and communications for San Antonio-based nonprofit, Green Spaces Alliance of South Texas. In this capacity, she managed all collateral and communications for the organization, as well as fundraising and outreach. In addition, she facilitated the planning and coordination of the organization's major fund-raising and outreach events, doubling net profits in three years. In 2014 she transferred to UNT to further pursue donor development, assisting as the stewardship coordinator for the university's Division of Advancement, and then working her way toward the assistant director of the Annual Fund, where she specialized in developing solicitations and assisting in the cultivation of gifts and donors for the university through a variety of communications.
Currently, Blair serves as director of marketing and communications for the College of Business and oversees all of the college's marketing and outreach efforts, including the website, branding and collateral that help to give the College of Business a distinguished presence in the North Texas region. She is passionate about providing a voice and visual representation for the college that will help bring it to the forefront of higher education.
Blair has also worked as a website developer and designer for several clients and holds a graduate certificate from UNT in Geographic Information System, a computer software program that helps capture, analyze and visually conceptualize spatial data. She is excited to utilize her combined skills in a way that will highlight the College of Business and all of the work that its faculty and students contribute to the greater community.
