Julie currently serves as the UNT G. Brint Ryan College of Business’ Associate Director for Business Development of the Logistics Center for Education and Research. She began her career at UNT in 2005, and her primary role involves industry partnerships, managing the Center’s Board of Directors, directing student professional development programs, and special events such as the Annual Scholarship Breakfast at Southwest Airlines. Julie also manages the Center’s scholarship program, website and marketing efforts, and grants. She holds a pivotal role in recruiting and managing Logistics student case competition teams. Prior to UNT, Julie spent over 14 years of success in technology sales, selling high-end software and hardware solutions as a manufacturer and territory sales executive. She experienced a career highlight of selling 5,000 printers to an account in one month, which was over $2,000,000 and resulted in winning the top sales award for the year. Julie is originally from the Panhandle of Texas, but spent eight years living in Norway as an “oil brat”. She graduated from Texas Tech University where she majored in marketing, and lived in both California and Colorado post-graduation. She has resided in the Metroplex since 1998, and enjoys spending time with her husband, two boys, and German Shepherd.
