Dr. Jesse Robertson, Associate Professor of Accounting, joined the UNT faculty in 2008 following the completion of his Ph.D. from the University of Alabama. He also holds a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Kentucky and an MBA from Morehead State University. He is a member of the American Accounting Association and is a CPA.
Dr. Robertson currently teaches auditing at both the M.S. and undergraduate levels, and a behavior accounting research seminar in the Ph.D. program. He has served on several doctoral dissertation committees, including three as co-chair.
Dr. Robertson's research interests include interactions between auditors and their clients, relationships between auditors and stakeholders of the audit process, and ethical issues. He has published in journals such as Auditing: A Journal of Practice & Theory, Behavioral Research in Accounting, the Journal of Business Ethics, and the Journal of Accounting Literature.
Dr. Robertson is also an award-winning educator, having received the G. Brint Ryan College of Business Teaching Innovation Award.
Dr. Robertson is married to Kelli, a speech pathologist. They have a young daughter.
