Dr. Julie Hancock received a BBA in Marketing, as well as her MBA, from Middle Tennessee State University. Prior to entering the Ph.D. program at the University of Memphis, she held a position in marketing at an insurance company in Nashville, TN specializing in podiatric and chiropractic malpractice insurance. Dr. Hancock earned her Ph.D. in Business Administration with a focus in Management from the Fogelman College of Business at the University of Memphis under the guidance of Dr. David Allen. Dr. Hancock’s primary research interests include the flow of people into and out of organizations, contagion effects, pro-social rule breaking, and job search behavior. Her research on these topics has been published in Journal of Management, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Human Relations, and Employee Responsibilities and Rights Journal. She teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in Compensation, as well as Organizational Design and Change for the Accelerated Online Program, and graduate-level Organizational Behavior at UNT's New College at Frisco.
