Kiran Patil is a PhD candidate, majoring in Logistics Systems, at University of North Texas, TX, expected to graduate by Spring 2022. He is an engineer turned supply chain professional. Investigating blockchain, his research interests address ‘coordinating mechanisms’ that tie different organizations into various channels and how the attendant relationships are defined, forged, and managed, creating information flows among supply chain relationship partners. In the past, he has worked as a Supply Chain Management Consultant, Manufacturing Engineer & research oriented Academician after earning masters in Supply Chain & Logistics Technology (from University of Houston, TX) and certifications in Supply Chain Management (from APICS, USA), Project Management (from PMI, USA) & Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt from University of Houston, TX). He carries over 3 years’ exposure in technical, supervisory and management roles in the manufacturing industry with transferable skills in new process introduction, managing issues across the project life cycle, problem analysis and resolution, and quality assurance. In addition, he has taught courses in engineering and management, over 3 years. He is an avid fan of cricket and rejuvenates through nature travels and music.
