Monica Kabutey is an Accounting doctoral student with research interests in financial reporting and managerial accounting. Monica has both government and corporate accounting experience. She has worked as Reporting Analyst at University of North Texas System and as a Financial Advisor and Process Improvement Core Lead at Interstate Batteries Corporate Office in Dallas. She also has teaching and research experience from her time as a Bachelor’s and Master’s student.
Monica received her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (Ghana) and her Master’s degree in Finance from Texas A&M University, Commerce. Monica is a licensed CPA in the state of Texas and a member of several professional organizations, including, the KPMG PhD Project, American Accounting Association and Texas Society of CPA. At her free time, she loves to volunteer and work with kids.
