Trond Bergestuen received his Master of Science in Business Administration from the Norwegian School of Economics and his Master of Business Administration from Cornell University. Trond's career started in management consulting, joining PA Consulting Group, an international technology and management consulting firm, where he thrived while fulfilling marketing, distribution, and business unit strategy assignments for clients in telecommunications, financial services, airlines and retail industries in the Northern European market. He has also held marketing and sales executive roles in the financial services sector, both in Europe and the US. Trond provided leadership and direction to new product development projects at American Express, New York, and was later promoted through a series of marketing and business development roles within the commercial division of Gjensidige - a leading Nordic financial services corporation.
Trond joined the adjunct faculty of the University of Texas at Dallas in 2015, where he started teaching undergraduate classes in Marketing Management and International Management, while working as an Executive Recruiter for clients in the US insurance industry.
Trond is currently a PhD student in the Department of Marketing, Logistics and Operations Management at the University of North Texas, with planned graduation in May 2020.
Trond is currently focusing his research within Distribution Strategy. Specifically, Trond is researching the relationship between manufacturers and their use of internal and external sales organizations.
