Yi (Ansel) Zheng is a Ph.D. Candidate in Finance from the College of Business at University of North Texas (UNT). His research interests mainly include financial intermediation with a specialization in banking and empirical corporate finance focusing on corporate governance and executive compensation.
Currently, Yi is also a teaching fellow teaching a core undergraduate finance course at UNT. He shows great interest in teaching courses related to financial intermediation, such as financial markets and institutions, and courses related to corporate finance, such as financial management and business valuation, at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. He is also interested in teaching finance courses related to financial modeling and investment.
Before joining the Ph.D. program in finance at UNT, Yi obtained his M.S. in Economics from the University of Texas at Dallas. Outside of research and teaching, he enjoys playing and watching sports like basketball, soccer, and tennis, reading, and traveling.
