I am an HR Business Partner at Freese and Nichols, an engineering, planning, and consulting
firm with headquarters in Fort Worth, Texas. My role is strategic and hands-on, and
I provide full-cycle HR support while aligning business objectives with employees
and management within my designated groups. I assess and anticipate HR-related needs,
communicating those needs proactively within the HR department and to management to
develop integrated solutions. Collaborative teamwork, building relationships based
on mutual respect, and solid knowledge of HR best practices are key to my success
                        as an HR Business Partner.
When I started the MBA program at UNT, I had about 12 years of HR experience and was
looking to learn more about the business side of HR. The MBA in Organizational Behavior
and HR Management program gave me more confidence as an HR Business Partner. The knowledge
obtained during this program was instrumental in advancing my career. I enjoyed the
professors, my classmates, and the asynchronous learning model associated with the
                        online program.
I am a wife, mom of a teenager, and a full-time employee, so I needed a program that
would allow me to pursue an MBA in a way that fit into my life and busy schedule.
Most of the students I interacted with were also balancing work and school in their
busy lives, so it was nice to feel connected to others who were navigating the same
experiences I was while in school.
In 2022, I graduated with an MBA in Organizational Behavior and HR Management.
Yes, it was challenging, but it’s one of the best things I’ve ever done to help advance
my career. I have referred many people to the MBA program at UNT since I began my
studies and will continue to do so.
