Erin Welch

Erin graduated from UNT with a BBA in Entrepreneurship and a BBA in Risk Management and Insurance.  After graduation, she worked in property insurance for several years before pursuing the goal of earning an MBA in Organizational Behavior and Human Resources (OBHR). 

In 2014, she joined the Department of Management as an adjunct faculty member and later transitioned to a lecturer role.  As a lecturer, she engages in teaching and service.  She served as Faculty Advisor to UNT's Delta Sigma Pi, Delta Epsilon Chapter, for a few years, and she now serves as co-advisor to the UNT Society for Human Resource Chapter, advisor to Delight Ministries UNT, and advisor to Voices of Praise UNT.  Some of the courses she teaches include Organizational Behavior (MGMT 3720), Workplace Health and Safety (MGMT 4180), and Talent Acquisition and Management (MGMT 4300).  Erin has received the Department of Management's Teaching Excellence award multiple times.  She received the Mean Green Faculty Spotlight Award twice for supporting and advocating for UNT student athletes, and she received regional awards for her work as faculty advisor to Delta Sigma Pi.  

Erin also holds the SHRM-SCP designation.  This certification is designed for HR professionals at a senior level who operate in a strategic role developing policies and strategies, overseeing the execution of HR operations, analyzing performance metrics, and/or contributing to the alignment of HR strategies to organizational goals.
