Marilyn Wiley

Marilyn K. Wiley is dean of the G. Brint Ryan College of Business and Professor of Finance at the University of North Texas. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst, and is past president of the CFA Society of Dallas-Fort Worth. She is a past board member of the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the Fort Worth Chapter of Financial Executives International, and has been active in a number of other organizations, including vice president and board member of the Eastern Finance Association, president and board member of the Southwestern Finance Association, and board member of the Southwest Business Deans Association. Her research, focused primarily on information transfer in derivatives markets, has appeared in a number of academic journals, including the Journal of Finance and the Journal of Futures Markets. D-CEO Magazine has named her one of Dallas’ 500 most influential business leaders annually since 2017.

Wiley holds a BBA in Marketing from the University of Texas at Arlington, an MBA and an MS-Finance from the University of Houston-Clear Lake and earned her PhD in Finance from Texas A&M University. She began her academic career as a faculty member at Florida Atlantic University, later serving as Adams Professor of Finance, MBA Director, Associate Dean and Senior Associate Dean. Before entering graduate school, Marilyn was Vice President of Finance and Information for Barrios Technology, a Houston aerospace contractor.
