Hoda Vaziri is an Assistant Professor of Management at the University of North Texas. She earned her Ph.D. in Management from the University of Texas at Arlington and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Purdue University. Her research focuses on work-nonwork balance, individual multiple identities, and employee well-being, with a particular emphasis on structural and contextual influences on these dynamics.
Dr. Vaziri's work has been published in leading academic journals, including Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Management, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Journal of Vocational Behavior, and Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology. Her research has been recognized with several prestigious awards, including the Responsible Research in Management Award, the William A. Owens Scholarly Achievement Award, and multiple finalist nominations for the Rosabeth Moss Kanter Award for Excellence in Work-Family Research.
Beyond her research, Dr. Vaziri is actively involved in the academic community. She serves on the editorial boards of the Journal of Applied Psychology and Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology and regularly reviews for top-tier management and psychology journals. She has also played a leadership role in the Research Methods Division of the Academy of Management, where she chaired the RMD/CARMA Doctoral Student and Junior Faculty Consortium.
At UNT, Dr. Vaziri teaches structural equation modeling, leadership, and organizational behavior at the doctoral and MBA levels. She is dedicated to mentoring Ph.D. students and contributing to the advancement of rigorous research and methodology in management.
