Dr. Christine Botosan
FASB Board Member and past president of the American Accounting Association
Dr. Christine Ann Botosan joined the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) on July 1, 2016. Prior to joining the board, Dr. Botosan served as a professor of accounting at the David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah. An award-winning professor and researcher, Dr. Botosan has a broad knowledge of accounting issues, with particular expertise in the areas of fi¬nancial statement analysis and valuation. A certifi¬ed valuation analyst and a chartered professional accountant of Canada, Dr. Botosan received her Ph.D. in business administration from the University of Michigan and received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Wilfrid Laurier University in Ontario, Canada.
Call for Paper Submissions
Submission Deadline: October 31, 2018
Open to all areas and methodologies of accounting research. Both working papers and proposals are welcome, and proposals must include the Introduction, Theory and Method sections.
$50 General Registration
The registration fee is waived for all Ph.D. Students.
Registration is on a first-come first-serve basis.
There are a limited number of rooms set aside at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Denton Convention Center in Denton, TX with a conference rate of $159 per night for Thursday and Friday, single or double occupancy. Other local hotels near campus include the Hilton Garden Inn Denton and the Hampton Inn & Suites Denton.
