The Research Experience Program (REP) is a vital initiative within the UNT College of Business that supports faculty and graduate students in conducting primary research focused on consumer behavior. By utilizing the SONA system, researchers can effectively and efficiently collect primary data, apply their findings to current industry needs, and deepen our understanding of human behavior in business markets, organizations, and management. The REP facilitates undergraduate participation in research studies, engaging students in data-driven research and providing hands-on experience that broadens their academic development.
Many instructors in the Ryan College of Business require research participation (SONA Credits) for a portion of course credit. Participants may have multiple classes for which they need SONA credits. Check the syllabi for each of your classes – you may have multiple classes that require participation in REP/SONA.
To create an account, visit https://unt-cob.sona-systems.com/ and click ‘Request Account’. Please see the video below for step-by-step assistance. You may direct any questions to rcobrep@unt.edu.
College of Business faculty and graduate students may utilize the REP subject pool and SONA to post studies and collect data. Please use the following resources to post studies, add timeslots, and request use of the BLB279 Behavioral Lab.
To request use of BLB279 for an in-person study, please submit Behavioral Lab Request Form. Please be sure your study is posted to SONA with the corresponding timeslots prior to submitting this form. After submitting both the study and request form, please request approval via the study information page in SONA. Requests will be compared to SONA timeslots and participants for confirmation. You will receive email confirmation when your study/request is approved.
Faculty members interested in utilizing the REP subject pool for research purposes may reach out to Mason.Carr@unt.edu for more information.
