Where are you from originally, and what brought you to UNT?

I grew up in the Austin suburbs and chose to attend UNT because of its proximity to the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. Being close to one of the largest business hubs in the country provides access to internships, networking, and career opportunities that strongly align with my professional goals.

How have your experiences in the Student Investment Group, the Professional Leadership Program, and the Financial Management Association shaped your academic and career goals?

Each organization has played a distinct role in shaping my development. As President of the Financial Management Association, I learned the importance of networking and how meaningful relationships can accelerate professional growth. Through the Student Investment Group, I redefined what hard work truly looks like in a high-performance environment. The Professional Leadership Program strengthened my understanding of professionalism, particularly the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams through case-based learning.

What’s one accomplishment or project you’re most proud of so far?

I am most proud of securing my Summer 2026 internship at Stout as a Business Valuation Intern. To me, this opportunity represents the culmination of years of focusing on the right priorities, developing relevant skills, and staying disciplined throughout my academic journey.

What inspired you to pursue a degree in Finance at UNT and get involved in the G. Brint Ryan College of Business community?

I have always been naturally drawn to math, and in college I wanted to apply those strengths in a practical, intellectually engaging field with strong career prospects. Finance offered the perfect balance. UNT’s proximity to Dallas further reinforced that decision, and the resources and support within the G. Brint Ryan College of Business have been instrumental in helping me reach where I am today.

Outside of academics, what are some of your favorite hobbies or interests?

Outside of academics, I enjoy weightlifting. It represents constant self-improvement and discipline, and it is an area where effort directly translates into results—something I find both motivating and grounding.

Who has been a mentor or major influence during your time at UNT?

My Senior Analyst in the Student Investment Group, Diego Pitzer, has been a major influence during my time at UNT. He not only made SIG a challenging and rewarding experience but also helped shape my passion for finance. Through his leadership, I learned the true value of attention to detail and what sustained hard work looks like in a professional setting.

How do you hope to make an impact in your field after graduation?

I hope to make an impact in business valuation by exploring and advancing the use of artificial intelligence within the field. As AI becomes increasingly relevant, I believe young professionals have an opportunity to help define how these tools are responsibly and effectively integrated into valuation work.

What advice would you give to incoming business students who want to make the most of their time at UNT?

My advice would be to get as involved as possible. Join organizations related to your major, seek leadership roles, and place yourself in as many professional environments as you can. Increased involvement creates exposure, and exposure leads to opportunities. Many of the opportunities I have had at UNT came directly from being active in multiple organizations.
