The Financial Planning Program at the G. Brint Ryan College of Business is offering a Community Class Series designed to provide individuals with practical financial knowledge and skills. Hosted by the college’s Financial Planning Program and provided for by a grant from Schwab Advisor Services and the Charles Schwab Foundation, the series will empower individuals to make informed financial decisions for their future.

Led by industry professionals and UNT faculty, these Saturday classes cover essential financial topics such as budgeting, retirement planning, investment strategies, social security, and more. The program is structured to be accessible to individuals at all levels of financial literacy.

Dr. Mark Evers, Financial Planning Program Director at the Ryan College of Business, emphasized the importance of financial literacy in today’s economy. “We believe that financial education is a cornerstone of personal and professional success. By offering these community classes, we are providing individuals with the knowledge and confidence to take control of their financial futures,” Evers said. “We are grateful to the Schwab Foundation for their engagement and support of our program.”

The Community Class Series aligns with the college’s commitment to fostering financial literacy. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with experts, ask questions, and develop plans to improve their financial well-being. Free on-campus parking, breakfast, and refreshments will be provided for attendees.

The series is open to the public, and registration details can be found on the Ryan College of Business website (more details will be available soon).
