Govind Iyer is the COPAS of Dallas/PDI Endowed Professor (Petroleum Accounting) at the University of North Texas and serves as the MS-Tax Program Coordinator. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Statistics from Bombay University, India, as well as a Master of Taxation and a Ph.D. from Georgia State University. Govind is also an associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and has successfully passed the CPA exam (Arizona). Before joining UNT in August 2009, he was a faculty member at Arizona State University and Louisiana State University. He is also a Visiting Professor at IE Business School in Madrid, contributing to their Global Executive MBA program, and an adjunct professor at MYRA School of Business in India. His expertise spans accounting and reporting, management and strategic control, information systems, taxation and petroleum accounting.
