Md Enayet Hossain

I am an Accounting Doctoral Candidate at the University of North Texas (UNT). I am currently in the job market and expect to graduate in May 2025. My teaching interests include Accounting Analytics, Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, and Accounting Information Systems (AIS). I have taught a variety of courses at UNT, including Principles of Financial Accounting, Principles of Managerial Accounting, and Intermediate Accounting. I am passionate about incorporating technology and analytics tools into the curriculum to make students better prepared for the current job market.

My research focuses on the applications of large language models and Generative AI in accounting, with particular focus on financial disclosure and the financial news media. In my dissertation, “Media Bias and Selective Quotations from Corporate Earnings Announcements,” I examine and find that journalists covertly induce political bias in their reporting by selectively quoting from corporate earnings announcements. My dissertation has recently been presented at the prestigious Rising Scholars Conference hosted by the MIT Sloan School of Management.
