Michael Killough

M. Douglas Killough (Doug) has over 25 years leading Human Resources, Organizational Development, and Talent Management in organizations including Saudi Aramco, Schreiber Foods, Perot Group, and Credit Suisse. Doug, a native Texan, has lived and worked in diverse locations including Japan, Hong Kong, New York, and Saudi Arabia. His experiences as an expatriate working outside the USA total more than 14 years.  Doug has extensive experience in the leadership coaching industry and runs the boutique firm, Ascension Coaching, LLC.

Doug earned a Doctorate in Adult Learning & Leadership at Columbia University and Master of Arts in Organizational Psychology also from Columbia. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Behavior and Minor in Japanese from Brigham Young University - Hawaii (BYU-H).  Doug earned a Registered Corporate Coach designation with the Worldwide Association of Business Coaches and is an active member of the Graduate School Alliance of Education in Coaching.

Doug has been an Adjunct Professor of International Human Resources at BYU-H and Strategic Human Resource Management at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Graduate School of Business.  In August 2020 Doug joined the University of North Texas, Ryan College of Business (RCoB) where he teaches Leadership, Organizational Behavior, International Management, Business Ethics, Entrepreneurship, Human Resource Management, and Organizational Design. Doug now serves as the RCoB, Leadership Coaching Program Director.
