Niken Putri

I am a Fulbright Scholar and a PhD candidate at the University of North Texas.

I received a BS from the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Indonesia and a Master's in Economics and Business from the University of Rotterdam. I worked for four years in a startup company in financial technology before deciding to return to academia.

Academic Interests

My current research interest lies at the intersection of social evaluation and social media. I am particularly interested in how social media influences public perception on company, brand and organizational actors. My dissertation builds new theory about false narratives on social media and empirically examines firm responses and the outcomes.
