Dr. Thuy D. Nguyen is a Clinical Associate Professor of Marketing at the University of North Texas, where she teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in marketing research, analytics, and marketing metrics. She is known for her student-centered approach to teaching and mentorship, with a strong emphasis on applying data-driven insights to real-world marketing challenges.
Dr. Nguyen earned her Ph.D. in Marketing from the University of North Texas, an MBA in Entrepreneurial Strategies from Southern Methodist University, and a BBA in Marketing (magna cum laude) from UNT. She has received multiple recognitions for teaching excellence, including nominations for the CLEAR Outstanding Online Course Award and the G. Brint Ryan College of Business Innovation in Teaching Award.
Her research focuses on consumer behavior, brand engagement, and sales management in marketing. Her work has been published in leading academic journals such as the Journal of Product and Brand Management and Industrial Marketing Management, and presented at major conferences, including the American Marketing Association.
Before returning to academia, Dr. Nguyen held leadership roles in industry, including serving as Director of Marketing for an international startup and as an Account Manager at Johnson Controls, where she developed strategic marketing campaigns and drove measurable business growth.
Dr. Nguyen is actively engaged in service to the university and broader community, contributing to curriculum development, student mentorship, and professional organizations. She is committed to fostering student success, advancing marketing practices, and bridging the gap between academic research and industry application.
