it is good to meet people from different parts of the world and share our diversity
in thoughts. That is a great chance for us to better understand about an issue.
Why did you choose your major? What are your career goals?
From my knowledge, operation and supply chain are the blood of all business models.
I am greatly inspired by the way Amazon manages its delivering service. Most orders
from Amazon are delivered on time, with high accuracy and assurance. COVID-19 has
also changed the way people view logistics and supply chain models. Inevitably, those
companies that manage their supply chain well are the ones least affected by the pandemic.
Besides, I believe customers should get the item they want. Then, providing consumers
with a seamless delivery service is my motivation for pursuing logistics and supply
chain majors. “We’re not in the shipping business; we’re in the information business”
– Peter Rose, Expeditors Founder. Obviously, each logistics firm needs to manage information
flow successfully to run a product flow smoothly. That is the reason I chose business
analytics as my second major. In the next two years, I want to get an internship at
a logistics and supply chain firm. I am excited to bring my learning skills to practical
works.

Why did you choose to study at UNT?
UNT is one of the few schools in Texas with a good Aviation Logistics degree plan.
With its proximity to DFW Airport, Love Field, and plenty of other big names in aviation,
I was very excited to find out that UNT has had this program for about 10 years. I
also loved UNT on-campus living. The dorm communities seemed like a great place to
be, and Mean Greens dining hall is one of my favorite places in the world to eat.
Lastly, I loved UNT's music school and wanted to continue studying music, even if
it wasn’t my major.
Why did you choose your major? What are your career goals?
I chose my major, Aviation Logistics, because I love airports. Since I was little,
I loved figuring out how they run, getting people from one destination to another.
I knew that I wanted to be part of that even as a kid. As I take more and more aviation
classes, I know I was definitely right. Aviation is a very vast business, so I'm still
trying to figure out what I want to do with my career. I am mainly focused on either
fleet planning or aviation accident investigation.
What advice would you give to an incoming Ryan College of Business student?
Get involved! I know everyone says this, but seriously. Getting involved has given
me so much amazing advice and so many wonderful friends. I am so glad I was able to
be involved in several of the many programs UNT has to offer. Another piece of advice
is to always check out the events RCOB is putting on. The faculty works hard to bring
our college wonderful events for all students. You will find numerous networking opportunities
and many useful tips and tricks for the business world, regardless of your major in
the college.
How has the G. Brint Ryan College of Business impacted your success as a student?
Many of the events and clubs I have been a part of have greatly helped me grow as
a person and as a leader. I have grown confident in my skills because of the workshops
RCOB has held. I have been given many opportunities to grow, like being president
of American Association of Airport Executives, because of RCOB. Furthermore, being
able to build a basic business foundation, has helped me greatly in knowing my way
around the various topics of business and how to use them for my success.
