BBA in Finance

The BBA in Finance, a CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) University Affiliated Program, prepares students to become financial managers and investment professionals. Our students obtain industry-relevant knowledge and skills from nationally recognized faculty and interact with industry executives. Students have the opportunity to manage a student managed investment fund of over $750,000. Our growing network of alumni, several of whom serve on department advisory boards, are a source of industry connections for internships, placements and speakers.

Jeremy Fykes, BBA in Finance '01

Jeremy Fykes earned a BBA in Finance (2001) and an MBA in Operations Management Science (2003), both from the University of North Texas, and graduated from SW Graduate School of Banking (SWGSB) in 2014. Jeremy started as a part-time teller while an undergraduate at UNT and upon graduation entered the underwriting/credit analyst role. His career path developed to junior and commercial loan officer roles. In 2015, Jeremy was hired by Guaranty Bank & Trust, N.A. as the Market President of Denton.
