The Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) is the newest degree offered by the G. Brint Ryan College of Business, University of North Texas. This degree is designed for executives and managers who wish to enhance their knowledge and expertise within a research-driven framework.This hybrid program can be completed in three years while working full-time. Classes meet on weekends, four times each semester.The DBA program opens diverse career options for executives and managers where graduates can:

The Doctor of Business Administration Program is competitively priced at approximately $114,000. The total cost per Semester Credit Hour (SCH) is approximately $2,375 for the three-year program. Costs include tuition, books, and meals on class days. Visit: sfs.unt.edu for Financial Aid information.
Program Method of Delivery
The DBA is designed for working professionals. The in-person component learning will take place 4 weekends a semester, and the rest of the learning takes place online where faculty and students can interact between weekend classes.

DR. JEFF CHANDLER

Dr. Jeffrey ChandlerJeffrey A. Chandler is an Assistant Professor in the Management Department of the G. Brint Ryan College of Business at the University of North Texas. His research focuses on strategic leadership and governance of both large publicly-traded companies and entrepreneurial new ventures. Jeff’s research has been published in outlets such as the Strategic Management Journal, Family Business Review, Journal of Business Venturing Insights, among others. His research has also been highlighted in media outlets such as the Wall Street Journal and Fox Business News.

DR. LING GE

Dr. Ling GeDr. Ling Ge is an Associate Professor in the Department of Information Technology and Decision Sciences at the G. Brint Ryan College of Business at the University of North Texas. She earned her Ph.D. in Management Science and Information Systems from the University of Texas at Austin, an M.S. in Computer Science from the National University of Singapore, and a B.B.A. from Renmin University of China. Dr. Ge’s research focuses on emerging technology-enabled innovations, online platforms, crowdfunding, digital business models, and interorganizational information systems. Her research has been published in leading journals, including MIS Quarterly, Journal of Marketing, Information Systems Research, and Production and Operations Management. She teaches courses in business analytics, data mining, machine learning, and information systems.

DR. SAMANTHA JORDAN

Dr. Samantha JordanDr. Samantha L. Jordan is an Assistant Professor of Management in the G. Brint Ryan College of Business at the University of North Texas. She earned her Ph.D. in Business Administration (Organizational Behavior and Human Resources) from Florida State University. Her research examines workplace dynamics, including self-serving behavior, interpersonal mistreatment, and the work–family interface, with a particular focus on how individuals interpret and respond to complex social work environments. Dr. Jordan’s work has been published in leading journals, including the Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Management, and Human Resource Management, and has received multiple awards and recognitions, including a Scholarly Achievement Award from the Academy of Management. In addition to her research, she teaches courses in Organizational Behavior, Research Methods, and Business Ethics, and actively mentors doctoral students.

DR. ARUNACHALAM (CHALAM) NARAYANAN

Dr. Arunachalam (Chalam) NarayananDr. Arunachalam (Chalam) Narayanan is an Associate Professor of Analytics in the department of Information Technology and Decision Sciences. He earned a Ph.D. in Operations Management and MS in Industrial Engineering from Texas A&M University. He also earned a BE in Mechanical Engineering from College of Engineering, Guindy in India. Prior to his appointment at University of North Texas, he was a faculty member in the Industrial Distribution Program in College of Engineering at Texas A&M University (tenured in 2012) and a faculty member in the Bauer College of Business at University of Houston. He has consulted with several firms including Schlumberger, Gulf States Toyota, Lyondell Basell, Lufkin, Brenntag, Wilson (now NOV), HEB, Baker Hughes and non-profits like Salvation Army and Capital Area Food Bank. His dissertation was recognized by DSI and CSCMP in 2007 and has published in journals including POMS, JOM, DSJ, EJOR, Omega, IJPE, IJPR among others. He has also created of a popular version of online beer game, which will soon be available in the UNT servers.

DR. RHONDA K. REGER

Dr. Rhonda K. RegerRhonda K. Reger serves as the Management Department Doctoral Program Coordinator. She is also an International Research Fellow at Oxford University’s Centre for Corporate Reputation, Said Business School.

Dr. Reger’s research focuses on socio-cognitive perspectives in strategy and entrepreneurship. She primarily studies constituents’ social evaluations (e.g., disapproval, reputation) of firms on social media using content analysis and econometrics. Her award-winning research has appeared in leading scholarly journals including the Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Strategic Management Journal, Organization Science, Journal of Management, Journal of Management Studies, and Organizational Research Methods. In addition to teaching masters and undergraduate students, she has taught EMBA and doctoral students in the United States, China, Europe and Australia, and regularly leads CARMA (Consortium for the Advancement of Research Methods and Analysis) short courses on content analysis methods.

She earned a PhD in Strategic Management from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.

Dr. Reger previously held the M. Watkins Professorship of Management at the University of Missouri where she founded a new Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center; the Nestlé Professor of Business Administration at the University of Tennessee where she served as Director of Research for the Anderson Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and Director of the Management Doctoral Program. Earlier, she held faculty positions at the University of Maryland (including Department Co-Chair and Faculty Director of the MBA Program), Arizona State University, and the University of Illinois-Chicago.

DR. MAJED YAGHI

Dr. Majed YaghiDr. Yaghi joined the University of North Texas in September 2021 and is currently a Clinical Associate Professor of Marketing at the G. Brint Ryan College of Business. Prior to joining UNT, Dr. Yaghi spent 23 years at The Coca-Cola Company retiring as Vice President-Global Accounts based in Dallas, TX and led a group of the company’s chain customers across 85 countries. His track record with CPG blue chips also includes sales and marketing senior roles with Kimberly-Clark and Gillette.

At UNT, he teaches Marketing Management, and B2B Marketing at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Dr. Yaghi is also actively engaged with two UNT committees, including COACHE and University Core Curriculum.

Dr. Yaghi is active in the community and currently sits on the International Board of Advisors at University of Bradford School of Management, as well as serve on the management committee of Collin College in McKinney, Texas. He also sits on the board of his community’s HOA.

Dr. Yaghi holds a Doctor of Business Administration degree from The University of Bradford, UK and a master’s in marketing from Louisiana State University. His doctoral dissertation (The Influence of Toxic Leadership on Employee Commitment and Mediating Role of Organizational Culture) was awarded the Dean’s Prize for Innovation and Impact in Doctoral Research. His first book (Leadership Lessons from an Illiterate Mom) is due to be published in January 2022 and he is currently writing his second leadership book titled “The Toxic Trigon.”
