Offering insurance course work for over 70 years, the University of North Texas' Risk Management and Insurance (RMI) program is one of the premier programs in the Southwest. With a professional focus on risk and insurance, it offers a comprehensive insurance curriculum, preparing our students for a variety of career possibilities. Many of our students have internships, which also count toward credit hours for our degree plans. In addition to a BBA degree, students can also earn an RMI minor or RMI certificate.
The program works closely with the risk management and insurance industry at both the national and regional levels to bring real world experience to the students. In addition to an abundance of locally sponsored scholarships, UNT RMI students have been winners of nationally competitive scholarships whose value often reach into the thousands of dollars.
With more than 40 thousand insurance industry positions available in the DFW Metroplex alone, the demand for UNT RMI students has never been higher. The UNT RMI program is uniquely positioned to help you launch your career.
