UNT and the Dallas Cowboys have combined their expertise to create two state-of-the-art MBA programs that provide students with a direct career path in the sport entertainment industry. Emerging best practices of the most valuable sport franchise in the world with the rigor of our one of the most highly engaged sport management scholars in the world, the two organizations have created incredible graduate programs that are perfect preparation for a career in the sport entertainment industry.
Are you ready to be a business leader in the sport entertainment industry? This 36-credit hour degree allows students to completely immerse themselves in the sport industry, working directly for sport industry clients. In recent years, students have completed semester-long projects that range from partnership pitch decks, social media analytics reports, employee training program proposals, international brand strategy campaigns, and event operations. These industry clients include the Dallas Cowboys, PGA of America, Dallas Mavericks, Dallas Jackals, and many others.
Courses are grounded in an interactive, discussion-based learning model where traditional lecturing is minimized. This approach allows for frequent guest speaker engagement and meaningful networking opportunities with industry professionals. The program culminates in a capstone consulting project in which students work individually with an industry client to solve real-world business challenges. This hands-on experience is designed to prepare graduates for successful careers in the industry.
Graduates of the program are currently employed by the Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Mavericks, FC Dallas, Texas Rangers, Dallas Stars, Learfield HQ, Topgolf HQ, Wasserman, San Antonio Spurs, Austin FC, Texas Legends, and the YMCA, among many others.
UNT and the Dallas Cowboys have combined their expertise to create a professional online MBA program that provides students with the opportunity to become thoughtful leaders in the business world. Guided by best practices, industry insights, and case studies, this program is delivered through the collective lens of UNT faculty and Cowboys’ executives with strong industry knowledge and experience. In addition to an advanced curriculum with real world applications, students can participate in immersive onsite boot camps at multiple North Texas locations, including The Star in Frisco (Dallas Cowboys’ World Corporate Headquarters and Training Facility) and AT&T Stadium in Arlington.
