The Ryan College of Business Mentor Program connects first-year and second-year students, including transfer students, with mentors who support them as they navigate campus life and make the most of their time at UNT. First-year students are paired with experienced upper-class business students, while second-year students are paired with faculty or staff mentors unless otherwise noted. Through these one-on-one connections, mentors offer guidance, share resources, and serve as a consistent point of support as students continue developing academically, socially, and professionally.
Whenever possible, students are matched with mentors based on their anticipated major and shared interests. For example, a student interested in accounting may be paired with an accounting major or a faculty or staff member connected to that field. Mentor placements are offered on a first-come, first-served basis, and our goal is to connect as many students as possible each semester.
The Mentor Program is designed to support students throughout the semester, with mentor-mentee pairs connecting a few times in ways that work best for both schedules. If you’re interested in participating, please select your preferred role below to learn more and apply.
