Admission Information

Please read this page fully for details about MS/MBA application deadlines and the application process, and download an Application Checklist PDF here. All applications in the G. Brint Ryan College of Business are reviewed holistically. Prospective and admitted students are encouraged to schedule advising appointments or attend one of our virtual information sessions to find out more about our MBA and MS programs and application process. If you are ALREADY ADMITTED (but have not yet started your program) and need to UPDATE to a later term, please see this information.

Deadlines

The deadlines below reflect the last possible day to apply through UNT GradCAS. Applying earlier is recommended to ensure a timely admission decision and, assuming admission, course registration prior to the start of the semester.

Desired Starting Semester Semester Application Deadline
Summer June 15
Fall August 1
Spring January 1

*If seeking an F1 Visa and do not yet reside in the U.S., you should apply a minimum of two months PRIOR to the dates listed to allow time for issuance of an I20.

Applicant Guidelines

  1. Please confirm that your program is available for your desired semester prior to applying to avoid future update fees. If in doubt, please contact us.
  2. If you are seeking UNT scholarships (which are highly competitive and merit-based), this may impact your desired start date: All scholarship awards for the academic year are announced by June, so mid-year scholarship applications for a Spring start are not available.
  3. International applicants must apply to the FALL or SPRING semesters only, with the exception of the MBA Management Cohort (summer application for all applicants to the Cohort).
  4. If applying as an international applicant and will require a Visa, you will need additional time to request an I20 and secure a Visa appointment in advance of your desired semester. Future updates to your application, if required, will incur an additional application fee, so select your desired semester with care.
