The mission of the Department of Finance, Insurance, Real Estate and Law in the G. Brint Ryan College of Business is to prepare future leaders in business at the bachelors, masters and doctoral levels. Educational preparation offered by the department includes coursework in finance, legal studies, real estate, and risk management and insurance which serves students in the college and throughout the University. Concentrations offered at the bachelor's level include economics, finance, financial services, real estate and risk management and insurance. Graduate programs include masters concentrations in finance and real estate and a doctoral concentration in finance. Graduates of the programs are informed citizens who are prepared for careers in the entry level of business (bachelor's programs), upper management (masters programs), and academic institutions and business research (doctoral program). The Mission of the Department extends beyond the curriculum and degree programs to providing research and service to the disciplines of finance, financial services, real estate, risk management and insurance and legal studies.
