MBA Program Structure
All UNT MBA programs are 36 credit hours and consist of 12 courses. These programs feature:
Online courses are administered in a flexible, asynchronous online format, consisting of 8-week sessions during the Fall and Spring semesters. Summer semesters typically consist of 5-week sessions.
Students can also take courses on campus offered in either Frisco or Denton. Courses offered in Frisco and Denton are usually scheduled as night courses (6:30 PM- 9:20 PM), one evening per week for the duration of the 16-week semester.
Upon admission, our team will evaluate your transcript(s) and you will be notified in your admission email if you need to complete any background requirements. These background requirements are not UNT courses and are online modules through third party sites. Our background requirements for MBA students include:
The financial accounting requirement is completed through LinkedIn Learning and is free to all UNT students. Students must complete a quiz listed on our Canvas page, scoring at least 80% to pass with unlimited attempts.
The business law requirement is completed through Ivy Software and is $100.00. Students must take an in-module exam, scoring at least 80% to pass with three attempts.
Students are not required to have these background courses before applying to our MBA programs, but they must either meet the requirements or have them completed in order to be eligible for graduation. These grades are not reflected on your UNT transcripts.
