Mr. Carlos Munguia
Executive Vice President & Manager – Commercial Banking
Texas Capital Bank

Carlos Munguia joined Texas Capital Bank in January 2011 to develop and execute a strategic market expansion plan for the Commercial Banking sector of the Dallas, Texas market.  He serves as Executive Vice President of Texas Capital Bank in Dallas, Texas.  His primary responsibilities include all customary responsibilities of a commercial bank market executive as well as serving in an executive role as a member of the Board of Directors for the Bank’s Political Action Committee and the Texas Capital Bank Community Development Corporation’s Credit Approval Committee.  The Dallas market is serviced by five locations.  Commercial Banking Group bankers are located at these locations and specialize in providing financial solutions to local family-owned lower middle market companies, their respective principal owners and executives.  These financial solutions encompass integrated financial services centered in the areas of corporate financing, international, treasury management and investments.

Prior to joining Texas Capital Bank, Carlos was employed with F&M Bank for 7 years serving as President of the Dallas Market.  He was previously associated with Bank One in downtown Dallas for 14 years and served as Division Manager in Middle Market Banking.  He also served the Dallas middle market business sector through his association with First City Bank, Texas American Bank and was in the Asset Based Lending Group with G E Capital Corp.  Over the past 30 years he has developed and managed commercial relationships of local companies with revenues ranging from $2-$250 million.

Carlos serves the civic and business community through his involvement as a member of the Salesmanship Club of Dallas and as Chairman of the Board of the Park Cities YMCA, as Chairman of the Advisory Board of the College of Business at the University of North Texas.  He is a graduate of Leadership Dallas-Class of 2000 and also graduated in May, 1999 from the Leadership Arts Institute sponsored by the Dallas Business Committee for the Arts.  In the past, he has served on the Boards of the Entrepreneurship Institute, Fine Arts Chamber Players, Town North YMCA, Southern Dallas Entrepreneurship Institute and the Presbyterian Housing Program.  He has also served other organizations that include the Circle Ten Council Explorers, North Dallas Chamber of Commerce, Boy Scouts, March of Dimes and United Way.

Carlos was born in Dallas, Texas.  He is a 1979 graduate from the University of North Texas earning a BBA degree concentrated in Banking and Finance.  In 1991, he graduated from the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University.

Earlier, after a decade of rapid advancement thought the sales ranks of IBM, she was named North Texas Branch Manager and selected from 300 internal candidates to serve in the “walking around MBA” role of assistant to the business unit President.

With an undergraduate degree in Human Resources from the University of Connecticut and an MBA from the University of Houston, Paula also finds time for not-for-profit and community volunteerism and leadership.  She is the co-founder of Dallas Executive Women’s’ Network Group,  Advisory Board Member of the College of Business at University of North Texas, a founding member of The Board Connection, an Advisor to SAMAS, and a Vice President of the Southwest Higher Education Foundation.

 

Mr. Barron Green

Barron Green is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal’s Performance Improvement practice in Dallas.  With more than 25 years  in business consulting, Mr. Green has significant experience providing performance improvement, revenue assurance, IT solutions, and risk management services to a variety of industry and enterprise clients in the US and internationally.

Prior to joining Alvarez & Marsal, Mr. Green was a founding Managing Director and the Global Communications Industry leader for Protiviti, an international Risk Consulting firm.  Prior to that, he was a Partner in Arthur Andersen's Business and Risk Consulting practices where he was the co-leader of the Global Revenue Assurance practice and a Communications Industry leader for the Southwest Region.  He started his career in the Management Information Consulting Division of Arthur Andersen, now known as Accenture. 

Mr. Green earned a bachelor‘s degree in Biology and an MBA from the University of North Texas.  He served on the advisory board to Dr. Steven C. Poe, the original holder of the Johnie Christian Family Peace Professorship at UNT, served on the AFIL (Adult Family Independent Living) Story Lane Board, volunteered for the Boy Scouts and Water Is Basic, and currently serves on the Dean’s Advisory Board UNT College of Business.   

Barron resides in Coppell, Texas, is married to Deborah (Hicks), a graduate of UNT 1986, and has 3 children; Mcallister, Bailey, and Carson.

 

Scott Orr
Vice President – Public Affairs
Fidelity Investments

Scott is Vice President of Public Affairs for Fidelity Investments, returning to Fidelity in January 2012 to serve in this role.  He is a member of the Texas regional executive leadership team and is responsible for all of Fidelity’s governmental relationships at the local, state and federal levels, working closely with Fidelity’s Washington-based team.  He also oversees Fidelity’s civic and community relations efforts, including volunteerism for its 5,500 Texas-based employees and working with its strategic nonprofit partners and other charitable programs.  He serves on the boards of the Dallas Regional Chamber, North Texas Commission, Texas Taxpayer and Research Association, Center for Nonprofit Management, Dallas CASA, and Abilene Christian Investment Management Company, and is an Advisory Board member of Commit2Dallas, Metrocrest Social Services and the University of North Texas College of Business.  Prior to his return to Fidelity, Scott spent a decade as a nonprofit leader in the Dallas area, serving as the President of two nonprofit organizations and seven years as a School Board Trustee for Coppell Independent School District.  In Scott’s original career with Fidelity Investments, he worked for 12 years as portfolio manager and money market group leader in the fixed income department of Fidelity Management & Research, managing over $12 billion in money market mutual funds.  Scott is a Chartered Financial Analyst and earned a BBA degree in accounting from Abilene Christian University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
