Iyer

Biography: 

Govind Iyer, presently serving as the Hershel Anderson Endowed Professor of Accounting at the University of North Texas. He is also the coordinator for the department’s Ph.D. and MS-Tax programs.He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Statistics from Bombay University in India, as well as a Master of Taxation and a Ph.D. from Georgia State University. He is also an associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and has successfully passed the CPA exam (Arizona). Prior to joining the University of North Texas in August 2009, he held faculty positions at Arizona State University and Louisiana State University. Additionally, he is a Visiting Professor at IE Business School in Madrid, contributing to their Global Executive MBA program, and an adjunct professor at MYRA School of Business in India. His areas of expertise include accounting and reporting, management and strategic control, information systems, and taxation.

Govind’s other interests include classical music (western and international), reading, cooking, and gathering new experiences.
