Rhonda
Reger

Biography: 

Rhonda K. Reger serves as the Management Department Doctoral Program Coordinator. She is also an International Research Fellow at Oxford University’s Centre for Corporate Reputation, Said Business School.

Dr. Reger’s research focuses on socio-cognitive perspectives in strategy and entrepreneurship. She primarily studies constituents’ social evaluations (e.g., disapproval, reputation) of firms on social media using content analysis and econometrics. Her award-winning research has appeared in leading scholarly journals including the Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Strategic Management Journal, Organization Science, Journal of Management, Journal of Management Studies, and Organizational Research Methods. In addition to teaching masters and undergraduate students, she has taught EMBA and doctoral students in the United States, China, Europe and Australia, and regularly leads CARMA (Consortium for the Advancement of Research Methods and Analysis) short courses on content analysis methods.

She earned a PhD in Strategic Management from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.

Dr. Reger previously held the M. Watkins Professorship of Management at the University of Missouri where she founded a new Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center; the Nestlé Professor of Business Administration at the University of Tennessee where she served as Director of Research for the Anderson Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and Director of the Management Doctoral Program. Earlier, she held faculty positions at the University of Maryland (including Department Co-Chair and Faculty Director of the MBA Program), Arizona State University, and the University of Illinois-Chicago.
