Biography: 

Nazmul is a third-year doctoral candidate in Accounting at G. Brint Ryan College of Business. Prior to joining the Ph.D. program, he served as an academic at several private and public universities in Bangladesh for over 15 years. He is also a Fellow Cost and Management Accountant (FCMA) at the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB).

Nazmul completed his M.S. in Accounting from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where he was selected as Bryan Outstanding Graduate Student and awarded Horton Godwin Scholarship from the North Carolina Association of CPAs (NCCPAs) for his leadership and academic excellence. He also holds a BBA and an MBA in Accounting & Information Systems with a minor in Corporate Finance from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. He graduated with Summa Cum Laude and post-graduated second out of a class of more than one hundred seventy students.

Nazmul enjoys reading, writing, listening to music, and watching movies. He published two novels titled Manob Parasite, Mayamoyee, and a poetry Biraha Bilas in Bengali that brought him much appreciation from the readers. He loves to spend his leisure time watching cricket and football with his son, Ryan.
