Roy D. Foster is the Executive VP & Chief Financial Officer at Andrews Distributing Company. Andrews Distributing serves the North Texas and South Texas markets and is one of the 10 largest beer distributors in the US representing 20 of the top 30 beer brands in the marketplace.
In addition to leading all financial aspects of the organization Roy is responsible for internal strategic alignment, planning & execution which includes the PMO team and the balanced scorecard process. He leads the annual operating plan development for the company. His Finance and Accounting team is responsible for financial planning and analysis, financial reporting, risk management, accounting, tax, budgeting and long-term sustainability of the infrastructure and operating profits at Andrews. He also has responsibility over the Strategic Execution and Communication teams to insure Andrews is effectively choosing and implementing the most strategically impactful initiatives.
Prior to joining Andrews Distributing in 2012, Roy worked for 15 years at Mohawk Industries and held a variety of leadership roles. His background includes serving as Director of Finance, Director of Operations, General Manager and Vice President of Sales within the Dal-Tile and Unilin Flooring business units.
Roy is a graduate of the University of North Texas with a Bachelors of Business Administration in Finance and he received a Master of Business Administration-with Honors from SMU’s Cox School of Business. He has completed the 52 week Stagen Integral Leadership Program. He also has SMU certifications in Mergers and Acquisitions from as well as in Certified Financial Planning.
In his free time Roy is passionate about being outside in nature because "the clearest way into the universe is through the forest wilderness" (John Muir). He also volunteers with and sits on the boards of the Prison Entrepreneurship Program www.pep.org and the University of North Texas Professional Leadership Program www.cob.unt.edu/plp...and he is eager to get you involved!
