Timothy Smith is a lecturer in the Marketing, Logistics, and Operations Management Department of the UNT G. Brint Ryan College of Business, teaching B2B marketing management and professional selling. He holds an MS in Management and Administrative Sciences from the University of Texas, Dallas and a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Evansville, Indiana.
Prior to joining UNT, Smith taught upper level mathematics curriculum for 11 years at a local high school. He brings 17 years of sales management and sales training experience from the high-tech telecom market segment. Smith started his career as a project engineer for Naval Air Systems Command and Texas Instruments, working with night vision optics and laser guided weaponry.
Smith is also a Scuba Diving Instructor. He founded Underwater Adventures LLC, specializing in open water certifications and travel in the dive industry. He is an amateur underwater photographer, videographer, and has had photographs published in Scuba Caribbean.
