Biography: 

Lyn received his DBA from University of Dallas in 2020. While he is a new faculty member at G. Brint Ryan College of Business, Lyn has been teaching at various colleges and universities since 2007. Lyn had a successful career in hospitality (Division Director for various Starwood Hotels and Resorts properties), law enforcement (certified by Colorado as a Police Field Training Officer, co-authored the Filed Training Manual approved by Colorado’s Peace Officers Standard Training (POST) Board, awarded Commendation Letter for Heroism in 2006 and Life Saving Medal in 2012), and academia (Dean’s Certificate for Excellence in Educating and Retaining Students).

He presented one of his research studies at the annual conference of the Academy of Management (Chicago, 2018) and authored a methodological published in Sage's Research Methods Cases and a book chapter in a Routledge research companion textbook on CSR marketing strategy. His research interests revolve around corporate social responsibility,  marketing and, occasionally, leadership (Lyn has been involved in local government leadership training and research). Currently, he has several marketing papers in data analysis or peer-review phase. He resides in Frisco, TX, with his wife, their 13-year old son, and 5-year old German Shepherd.
