Madhuri
Bandla

Biography: 

Madhuri Bandla has been a faculty member of the G. Brint Ryan College of Business since 2015. She has 12 years of professional work experience (including 3 years in India).

She started her corporate career in the US with Deloitte’s audit practice at the Dallas office, where she was the recipient of the “Client Service Excellence” award.  She transitioned to industry and has held progressive management positions in large public and multi-national companies in areas of financial reporting, internal control, SEC and regulatory filings, and technical accounting research. Madhuri’s most recent corporate role was AVP of SEC Reporting at a large mortgage company.

Madhuri is a proud alumna of UNT 's MS Accounting program, specializing in the Audit track. She was the recipient of the "Outstanding Graduate Student” award and the “Federation of Schools of Accountancy” (FSA) award in 2006 for academic excellence and leadership. She is a CPA with a Texas license since 2007. Madhuri is a member of the American Accounting Association and the Texas Society of CPAs. She also holds a Master’s degree in Commerce from the University of Madras, India. 

Madhuri is an adaptive leader with a collaborative mindset and is actively involved in serving the department, profession, and the community.

Madhuri was honored with the 2018 “Texas Society of CPAs Outstanding Educator” award for excellence in teaching and service to the accounting profession. She directs the department's Accounting Scholars program. She is also the department faculty leader for Study Abroad and led a group of RCOB students to London in the summer of 2019.   She is a passionate educator, global citizen, world-traveler, and a lover of life and learning. She is strongly committed to student success, building and strengthening mentoring relationships, and making a positive difference in the community.
