My name is Lauren Kinser, and I am pursuing a BS/MS degree in accounting with a focus on taxation. I am drawn to tax because I have realized that many people, including business owners, lack critical tax knowledge which can have serious implications for the success of their businesses. Someday, I would love to use my tax knowledge to help small business owners and entrepreneurs succeed. In addition to the Accounting Scholars Program, I have been involved in Beta Alpha Psi and I work on campus as a student computer lab assistant. I am so excited to start my career in such a great profession that offers so many opportunities, and I plan to take full advantage of those opportunities by passing the CPA exam and becoming a CPA.
