Tara Koonce
President

Tara is a senior studying Biomedical Engineering with a minor in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in mathematics. After graduation, she hopes to begin her career at a biomedical company in the DFW area. When she is not working or studying, she loves to listen to music, read books, travel, play with her dogs and spend time with friends and family.

Barbara Lamont
Marketing Director

Barbara Lamont is from Venezuela, and is pursuing a bachelor's degree in Marketing with a minor in New Media Arts. Barbara enjoys various things like the arts, dancing, and community service. She is very involved in different organizations, such as the American Marketing Association, where she holds the position of president. Barbara is also part of two coeducational fraternities, Delta Sigma Pi Business Fraternity, and Alpha Phi Omega Community Service Fraternity. Additionally, she is part of the National Millennial GenZ Community, an all-state organization for student leaders. Barbara loves nature and her country, and her favorite thing to do is spend time with family in the US.

“Mia” Du Le
Community Engagement Director

Mia, an international student from Vietnam, is pursuing both her bachelor's and master's degrees in accounting at UNT. She is set to begin her graduate program with a concentration in Taxation in the upcoming Fall semester. In addition to her involvement with PLP, Mia holds the role of a Student Ambassador for the G. Brint Ryan College of Business. Come Spring 2024, Mia will commence her Tax internship at Deloitte. Eagerly, she looks forward to applying the principles of servant leadership she acquired from PLP to excel in her internship and career!

Laura Rengifo
Social Coordinator

Laura is a Junior majoring in User-Experience Design and minoring in Marketing and Computer-Science. After graduation, she plans on working at IBM as a UX Researcher, as well as pursuing a master’s degree in Computer-Science. Outside of PLP, she is a member of UNT's chapter of AMA, and loves painting, reading, nature and spending time with family and friends.

Oscar Martinez
Facilitator Liaison

Oscar Martinez is a senior pursuing a degree in Economics with a minor in Spanish. After graduation he hopes to begin his career in a financial position to learn more about the business world, with aspirations of returning to school for a M.S. in Economics. Outside of PLP, he is an active brother of Delta Sigma Pi. Oscar’s hobbies include going to the gym, playing video games, and spending time with friends.
